Your privacy is paramount. This is how serious we are about it: we will never pass on, trade, exchange or sell your personal details to anyone.
There is one exception to this rule: when you create a 234Give page or make a donation we will pass on your name, email address and phone number to the Beneficiary you have chosen to support, so that they can thank you. You can opt in to receive further communications from them if you like, but you don’t have to.
That’s it. If you want the full, extended version, here it is:
The information we collect from you as visitor to our Website
234Give collects information about the Internet Protocol (IP) addresses of all visitors to our Website. An IP address is a number assigned to your computer automatically when you use the internet. This information is only collected in aggregate (in other words, we are not able to monitor your individual usage of the Website) and helps us monitor Website traffic patterns in order to improve our service.
The information we collect from you as a registered user of the 234Give Service
When you create a secure 234Give page, we collect your name, email address, your phone number and your password. We will automatically pass on your name and email address to the Beneficiary of the donations that are made through your page. We will not pass on this information to any third party unless you give us your express written consent.
The information we collect from you when you donate
When you make a donation via 234Give., we collect: your first and last name, your e-mail and your phone number. Your credit or debit card details (including card type, card number and expiry date); and your billing address are collected securely by our payment partner Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc (“Stanbic”). Stanbic will only use your payment details for the purpose of processing your donation. We will automatically pass on your name, email and phone number to the Beneficiary that will benefit from your donation
If you do not want your name to be publicly associated with your donation, please tick the “Anonymous” button when filling out the donation. Your name then will not appear on the Beneficiary’s 234Give page, nor will it appear in any online search results. Your name will always be passed on to the Beneficiary but, if you have made an anonymous donation, your name will only appear in their secure account area.
Your email address
We need your email address so we can confirm your donation or let you know if there’s been a problem. However, we never share your email address with any other party, except your chosen beneficiary unless you explicitly say so.
Stanbic, our card processing partner, will only use your payment details for the purpose of processing your donation. All of this information is held securely by Stanbic and will never be passed on or sold to anyone else.

We regret that we can only refund a donation less the transaction fee if the Beneficiary expressly requests it and remits the required funds to use. To request a refund, please contact the Beneficiary first and have them contact us.
